Urge NY Senators: Push funding for the Hudson and Mohawk across the finish line

    Mohawk River

The Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) is a critical bill that Riverkeeper is currently leveraging to secure substantial funding for the Hudson and Mohawk watersheds.

Both houses of Congress are in the process of negotiating to create a final version of the authorization bill. The House's version includes significant funding for New York's Hudson and Mohawk Rivers, and we are encouraging the Senate to take up those investments and send them to President Biden’s desk. It's essential to bring this difference to the attention of our NY Senators to ensure the funding for our communities.

Write to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, encouraging them to secure key resources for the Hudson and Mohawk River communities in the final WRDA bill.
